This month’s meeting

We finished the last requirement for Achievement 5: Show how to use pliers

We made slides for the neckerchiefs for Blue & Gold celebration – elective 3e

We worked on Achievement 8a and 8b: Cooking and Eating. We played Food Guide Pyramid game and made meal plans for our families. Check them out!

We discussed requirements #4 and #11 for Disability Awareness Pin.

Upcoming Den Events

As we are getting closer to the end of the year, please ask your family members and friends if they have any old cell phones they no longer use.  We ask everyone to contribute at least one cell phone in order to get a credit towards our den conservation project.

March meeting TBA. Details will come via email.

February Wolves Cub Scout Advancement Activities

In February we ask you to work with your son on Achievement 9: Be Safe At Home and On the Street (Wolf Handbook, page 82).  Please help your Scout with:

9a: Complete the Character Connection for Responsibility.

9b: WITH AN ADULT, check your home for hazards and know how to make your home safe.

9c: WITH AN ADULT, check your home for danger from fire.

Please return the binder with the Home Advancement Activities signed at the next den meeting in March.

World Conservation Award

Our Wolf Den (and now the entire pack!) is working on earning World Conservation Award. Here are the requirements:

   • Complete      Wolf Achievement #7 - Your Living World

   • Complete all Arrow Points in 2 Wolf Electives:

      • #13 - Birds

      • #19 - Fishing

   • Participate in a den or pack conservation project

For our den conservation project we are going to collect used cell phones throughout the school year. Please ask your family members and friends if they have any old cell phones they no longer use. Cell phones contain batteries, which should not be put in your trash because they will end up in landfills where they could be harmful. Many cell phones contain heavy metals which can contaminate the earth. By collecting the old cell phones and sending them to the agency which disposes them safely or refurbish them, you help saving our planet.
